Linking Sustainability and Energy Strategy

Beau Griffey, CEM, CEP, Client Executive, Energy Supply Service, Trane

Beau is responsible for executive-level energy account support, including: monitor daily fundamental and technical factors effecting current energy markets; assess risk tolerance; recommend physical/financial purchasing strategies; evaluate demand-side management, renewable energy and other energy-related sustainability improvement opportunities and coordinate all aspects of account fulfillment. Beau Griffey has held a variety of positions at public and private energy corporations. Experience includes Business Development, Consulting, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sales, Management, Trading, Startup Commercialization and Sustainability. 

Beau recently completed an exit of a power generation optimization and analytics platform. Taking a consulting business and transitioning it to a software business.  Beau developed a 50 MW pipeline of renewable energy and low emissions projects in the last few years. Technologies include biogas, solar, wind, storage and CHP. Beau is a Certified Energy Manager and Energy Procurement Professional. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from University of Central Missouri and an MBA with emphasis in Finance from Rockhurst University Helzberg School of Management.


Trevor Joelson, Business Developement Manager, Trane

Trevor Joelson joined Trane in August of 2011. In his role as Business Development Manager, Trevor partners with Trane offices and customers to ensure they achieve low cost electricity and natural gas supply in coordination with their high-performing buildings. Trane customers obtain particular benefit from Trevor's thought leadership in deregulated energy procurement. Trevor received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Administration with minors in Marketing and Political Science from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
